Jeffrey Howard is an artist and musician currently living in Savannah, Georgia. He studied design at Valencia Community College and art history at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida.
None of that really mattered as he spent time buying records, making zines, playing music around the country and running a button manufacturing and vintage shop.
This internet gallery is a small sampling of pieces created using only record album covers as the medium and collage buttons. They are inspired by record cover artwork from all generations. Here, they are chopped up and assembled into new narratives that hadn’t existed before. Some designs mesh well together and others probably deserve some kind of punishment.
Accomplishments:
– Artwork used on record albums and show posters
– Had a month long solo exhibition in Orlando, Florida.
