<--- [ Saves The Day ]

Friday was a huge sweaty mess. It was the big Alkaline Trio, Saves The Day, A New Found Glory and Face To Face punk rock extravaganza at the House of Blues. The very anal House of Blues, I might add. They simply do not know how to put on a punk rock show. First off: Metal detectors and purse/bag checks. What the heck? They wouldn't let anyone take cameras in. So I didn't get to take pictures. Grrrr. Why would I pay $14 to see bands I've already seen, ya know? I want pictures, dang it!

Michelle and I guided our way to the very front after Alkaline Trio finished playing. We figured our friends would be right up front. We never found them. We missed most of AT3's set due to a little problem getting in. I wanted to see them the most. Saves The Day came on next and they were awesome. Are they the teenage version of Third Eye Blind? Mmmmaybe. Haha. A really funny thing happened when in the pit. I hear my name yelled out. Two of my former co-workers were there: Chris and Clayton. Crazy kids! It a bit rough in front with all the crowd surfers. I got nailed in the head. My glasses kept getting knocked off so I pocketed them and the rest of the show was a blur...... literally. I never saw New Found Glory before. They were blurry. I couldn't tell if h were any good or not. They finished and we left the front cos we were tired, drenched and thirsty. Water was $2.50. Face To Face went on last and I didn't like them. It was better to stand by the airconditioner.

After the show I stopped by the Virgin Megastore and lo and behold they had the LP I had been coveting for two years on sale for $9.99 (down from $24.99): the first Spice Girls album on vinyl. It's mine :)

Then I drove to the 7-11 and had the biggest CherryLimeade ever. Then my neck started hurting. Owie. Like I said: need massage, will travel.

And tonight is the Jets To Brazil and Shiner show. Should be good.
