This show was a party to celebrate the release of two new full length releases on Orlando record label Florida's Dying: Jacuzzi Boys 'No Seasons' and The Electric Bunnies 'Through the Magical Door'. Both came out simultaneously earlier in the week. Also playing would be locals Slippery Slopes and Yussuf Jerusalem from France.

I'm not sure what else I can say about Miami's Jacuzzi Boys that hasn't already been said here in the electronic pages here at Kick Bright. With the release of their debut full length 'No Seasons' they will undoubtedly make their way to the top of the psychedelic garage pop scene.

Is it just me or has there been a lot of bands from France coming over and touring America? Yussuf Jerusalem had been tearing through the country since September ending in Florida. They were quite good playing a style I can only call "doom garage". Their music is both horrifying and catchy as hell. I don't know how to explain it. The drummer was awesome. For a while the "bands" identity was kept in secret; it turns out the guy behind the band is Benji Daures better known for being in Creteens and Jack of Heart! The LP that came out last year on Florida's Dying is out of print with a new one to come out sometime in 2010.

And Slippery Slopes put on another great show with yet another lineup change. Shawn, once the organist, then second guitar, then main guitar while Britches was in jail, then back to second guitar and is now playing bass. They sounded great. They just got off a California tour playing at Budget Rock. I'm sure they were well received back that way. With all these records coming out I really want a Slippery Slopes full length. That's record of the year right there.
